Keeping Your Cool When Obama Calls | Cecilia Muñoz, National leader in public policy

On this week’s episode, you’ll meet the wonderful and accoladed Cecilia Munoz, who served POTUS #44, Barack Obama, for all eight years of his Presidency. You’ll hear tales of a career that, before and after her time in the West Wing, was complex, layered, impressive – and always focused on making the world a better place.

Cecilia shares about her hesitation, and then the call that got her to say yes to the President, as well as stories about her years as a community organizer, foundation board member, and advocate for immigration reform, refugees, and the realizing the American Dream.

And for a woman who has been in the “change trenches” for most of her entire life, you’ll hear about the ways she finds bliss and balance. From long walks to singing in a choir, to card games on Zoom and a life hack for those who dread folding laundry, Cec is the ultimate change-maker who’s found a balance between tackling the biggest issues of our time while holding place and space for quiet moments, rest, and play.
